Text message opt-in
Embrace Martial Arts only texts people who asked to hear from us. This page shows exactly how someone opts in, what they receive, and how they opt out.
1. They request a free class on our website
A person fills out the free class form at embracemartialarts.com/book/youngsville/ (reached from the free class page, /book/, by choosing Youngsville) with their name, email, mobile number, location, and program. Below the fields is a separate text message consent checkbox. It is unchecked by default and is not required to submit the form. We only text people who check it.
The consent text next to the checkbox reads:
I agree to receive customer care text messages from Embrace Martial Arts (EMBRACE BJJ, LLC), such as booking and confirming my free class, class reminders, and answers to my questions, at the mobile number above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
2. Or they ask for reminders from their booking email
Someone who books a Wake Forest free class on our online booking page gets a confirmation email from us. Booking alone does not sign them up for texts. The email has a "Text me reminders" button that opens a page on embracemartialarts.com showing the last four digits of their mobile number and the same separate consent checkbox, unchecked by default. We only text them after they check it and tap "Text me reminders". The consent text reads:
I agree to receive customer care text messages from Embrace Martial Arts (EMBRACE BJJ, LLC), such as reminders about my free class and answers to my questions, at the mobile number ending [last four digits]. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
We save the time, the wording shown and the device it came from with their contact record.
3. Or they text us first
Someone who starts a conversation by texting our number has asked to talk with us. We reply only to what they asked about, and our first reply includes how to opt out.
4. What they receive
After opting in, the first message identifies us and confirms the opt-in:
Embrace Martial Arts: Hi Sam, thanks for reaching out. Here is the link to book your free class: [booking link]. Msg frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
After that, messages are limited to booking and confirming their free class, reminders, and answers to their questions.
5. Opting out and help
- Reply STOP at any time. They receive one confirmation and no further texts.
- Reply START to opt back in.
